US Climate & Energy Update #3: Will the Democrats overcome their internal fighting? - with Angelina Galiteva
It's time again for an update on climate policies and the energy transition in the USA. It’s been 10 months since Joe Biden’s inauguration as President of the United States, what has happened since then? Has he started to execute on his ambitious climate policies and energy transition programs? What is the current status and what are the main road blocks? David Wortmann and Angelina Galiteva discussed these questions and more. Angelina is the head of the board of the California Independent System Operator CAISO and one of the most powerful and influential energy executives in the USA. The two discussed whether, in terms of energy security, everything is back on track again after the power outages earlier this year or if there are more challenges down the road, especially considering the very dry summer in parts of the USA and the upcoming winter season. They also talked about how the USA is preparing for the international climate summit in Glasgow and how the grid operators are preparing for the harsh winter season.
